Should I be worried about a warrant?
There are no grounds to obtain a search warrant. The dispatcher confirmed it was from a MagicJack number in an entirely different state.
There is no reasonable cause to come back with a warrant. Just because you don't let them inside and search, doesn't mean shit. It's your place of dwelling, you were minding your own business, and nothing you did was warranted for a search.
In the eyes of the law, your expectation to privacy is one that society is prepared to recognize as reasonable, and nothing you did was unreasonable.
I recommend you get a copy of the book, Marinuana Law by Richard Glen Boire. It explains in great detail how to react and what to expect in your situation. You did exactly what should've been done.:thumbsup:Nancy007 Reviewed by Nancy007 on . Should I be worried about a warrant? A few officers showed up at my house. I stepped outside. They told me that they had received some 911 hang-ups from this address, but I don't have a land line, so the calls didn't come from here. They said the calls came from a woman. Hah, definitely not one of those in my house. They wanted to enter the house and take a look around to make sure I was the only person. I refused entry on the basis that I'm the only person living here, and I don't even have a land line. They had dispatcher Rating: 5
