Problem identification help: Yellow bottom leaves curling under

I'm having trouble identifying what the issue is with my two plants.

This is my first grow, a strain called skunk #1, these two are about two weeks old. They are being grown outdoors, but in pots, so they have an indoor soil mix (peat mix with a little sand), but are being exposed to directsunlight.

The bottom leaves are yellowed on one, and on the second they are yellowed and the tips are turning brown and curling under (see pictures)

I'm sure that this isn't nutrient burn as the last time they were fed was about 10 days ago, so it is either a nitrogen deficiency or, a result of heat stress and too much exposure to direct sunlight. I am also growing in very hot temperatures 75-90F and high humidity and so Im not sure what effect those will have.

Your help is very much appreciated.:rastasmoke:

Problem identification help: Yellow bottom leaves curling under

its quite normal for lower leaves to start to yellow. When ever i veg my plants arounf the 4-5th node i get a couple yellow ones around the bottom. Aslong as she keeps on growin you havent got much to worry about. Give her some more nutes as its been 10 days, not too much though, you dont wana burn her !

    Thanks for the advice charbud,

I gave them a light dose of nutes this morning, a 4:2:2 mix, but they havnt improved at all, theyre actually showing a bit of nute burn, and the yellow leaves are beginning to shrivel. do you think it might be the soil ph?

    please help!

Yes, I absolutely do. Do you have any idea what your nutrients are going in at, or what runoff is? Those 2 will give you a good idea of what's going on in your container.

Did you purchase this mix or did you make it? If you made it, what exactly is in it?

Don't feed anymore until you know what's going on. If you keep adding salts to the soil, it can get past the point of no return.

Yellowing of lower leaves is normal but not until late in flower. If it's happening in veg this early, something is wrong in your soil.

I would flush the container with properly pH'd water, and then let it completely dry before even watering again. The flush will push some of the nutes out of the soil and hopefully bring your pH back into range.

Also, fill out a troubleshooting form. It'll help us diagnose more specifically what is wrong.

    .
    Thanks irydyum,

No, I'm not sure what my nutrients are going in at or what runoff is, and would appreciate your advice.

    Also,

    Heres my form...

    This is my first grow

    My Equipment:
Natural Sunlight, at this time of year 14 hours a day

    Medium:
Type of soil: a fertilized peat mix mixed with a little sand (I bought it, but its composition was not written on the package)

    Container: 30cm plastic pots

    Germination: Germinated in cotton

    Your nutrients and water:
Source of water? Using tap water, not sure of the PH

Using a 4:2:2 fertilizer mix of a local brand. fertilized twice at a 10 day interval a 1/4 of the recommended dose

My growroom is outdoors, but they are placed in pots.
High temperature 75-90F and high humidity 40-70% (its an equatorial climate)

    The Strain:
Skunk #1, grown from regular seeds, it is a 75% Sativa, 25% Indica mix.

I know it's lacking a bit of information that I don't have, which very well could be the issue.

I'll flush the soil and go out and test the soil pH and get back to you.

    Thanks again.
