my first grow 2010

alright i have spider mites on my biggest plant what do i do i dont have the cash for pesticides and im scared to use soap water please help any suggestions

Just put ''spider mites'' in the search above and there are a bunch of threads on them. There is a strip you could use, but your outside. Dont wait on an answer man these things will come back after you think their gone man. And they destroy your plant fast. If you can find some lady bugs they will eat em up, thats why i have the avatar, hes on guard. For some reason i got them all over my house, but thats a good thing. You can buy them too.

Lever, I was in the same boat with no funds for anything. So I read and read and found this and it works great.


1 quart water
4 cloves fresh garlic
2 tablespoons tobasco sause
1 thai pepper

Put all in blender and blend till luquid. Spray top and bottoms of leave and soil for 3 nights in a row. It works great. I even spray the whole area around my pots to keep them fuckers away. Try it, youll like it:rastasmoke:

well i just got home from work and ive been keeping my plants lightly misted or i should say my wife has and well they are deffinatly cut in half but im going to put some hot sauce garlic soap water on them tonight i am still going to finish writing the bho tutorial but now my hands are full battling these damn mites but ill keep everybody posted and the mites really havnt done any damage yet but i want to stop them before they do

well i just got home from work and ive been keeping my plants lightly misted or i should say my wife has and well they are deffinatly cut in half but im going to put some hot sauce garlic soap water on them tonight i am still going to finish writing the bho tutorial but now my hands are full battling these damn mites but ill keep everybody posted and the mites really havnt done any damage yet but i want to stop them before they do

Good luck man those things are bad, iv read about people cleaning every thing in the grow room and burning what they could. And i saw someone say if you knew you came into contact in someones else's grow, they'd burn their cloths and shower asap:wtf: Im so glad i got the ladybugs around.

well i have some pics for you guys there not that good of pics since i just got done feeding them and spraying them with soap water i was to scared to use hot sauce after the last time but im ordering some avid this weekend and im going to go get some of the no pest strips cause if nothing else i can bring them in my shed at night with the strips in the shed i dont know but i do know i want to get rid of them little bastrads cheers ppl

well the soap water and keeping the plant misted almost all day helped considerably but im not sure if the branches can take much more but ill take some pics when the sun comes outand im also stressing im trying to germ this blue mystic autoflower but its been 2 almost 3 days and all my last seeds germed in 12 hours so i dont know hope i didnt get a dud

They look great man, nice and healthy an green. Looks like your going to need some bigger pots soon. Have you thought about putting any in the ground im sure they would get very big man. Just a thought, its nice to be able to move em around, but 1 or 2 in the ground bent over would yield prolly more then the potted ones, but ya never know. A couple of those have nice branch growth man.

yeah ive been debating if i should put one in the ground or not and i think im leaning on putting one in the ground my only concern is pests i hate that if all goes bad im stuck with it in the gound as for the repotting i should have some extra cash next week for soil peat and perlite i was gifted some 6 gallon pots but i think i will need quite a bit of soilmix to fill the five pots and put one in the ground i would get it this week but im ordering avid to kill these little bastard mites
