I agree 100%. Where were these ultra high expectations people seem to have for our president 5 or 6 years ago, back when our country got gutted by a republican leader? It takes a good solid 8 years of work to crash our economy, ruin our good name, resort, and put our constitutional rights into the papershredder (yes, republicans took away many of your rights, and they are the party that will fight tooth and claw for the 2nd, while ignoring all the other ammendments), our country cannot be rebuilt overnight. Seriously, how long did it take to get out of the Great Depression? 10 years? So for the Great Recession we decide magicly cut that down to 1? maybe 2? wtf.

Lets be realistic, in both our expectations, and our timetables.

Maybe it's because he represents equality between blacks and whites. I don't know. But I think that idea hinders peoples veiw of him. I think the fact that he's black gives people confidence that things are changing and getting better. It distracts them from the other wrongs. Maybe I'm wrong. That's why I'm posting this.
