Im new at this and need help!!

I have a plant that is about 4 weeks old maybe 5...but the bottom leaves r starting to turn yellow and wilt. its a beautiful plant and id like to fix this. does anyone have any tips?

someone told me i was over watering it so should i let it dry out?
can i cut the yellow leaves off?
should i buy some plant food?

any info will be muchly appreciated.

Plant looks light starved to me. You can remove the dead leaves. Then put it on the other side of that window. You know, like where the sun is? i thinK that will fix you problem.

thanks n yes u r right it was in indirect sunlight so im gonna move it outside. i talkted to someone n he seemed to know what he has talkin about when it came to movin it from indoor to outdoor but thank u :jointsmile:

Cannabis prefers a wet-dry cycle. But if you let the soil dry too much, it tends to reject water and let's it flow straight to the drain holes. If this does happen, add water very slowly, a cup at a time. It'll re-condition the medium. Don't let it get that far too often, though.
Conversely, wet roots rot. So do not allow it to sit in standing water and no habitual oversaturation.

can i cut the yellow leaves off?

Nope. She'll discard them when she's done using them. Once she does drop 'em, get 'em out of the pot. Bugs will want to breed there if you don't.

should i buy some plant food?

If you're serious about growing your plant(s) then you'd better start shopping for nutrients right now. Some good cannabis nutrients come in 2-part or 3-part "systems". Some of the more commonly used, (common and reliable) are Botanicare, Canna, Fox Farms...

However, with improper lighting, your efforts will fall short. With a window grow, you only have limited sunlight, and are you keeping her dark periods absolutely dark? No kitchen or bathroom lights interrupting her sleep? If not, you're stressing the crap out oif her, and it will only get worse when in flower. A dark closet, some nutrients and some CFL's would benefit your efforts. :thumbsup:

well I just now went and bought Scotts all purpose flower and vegetable continuous release plant food. whats your opinion on that?

This is what i am going to do now:
(let me know if anyone thinks there is something wrong with this)
im gonna start putting it outside about 5 hours a day for a week or two (until it looks stronger) so it can get used to being outside n get a little stronger then im going to get a pot 2x the size of the one it is in and poke dime size holes in it(so no other plants can disrupt it but it's roots can still grow out of the pot) and then plant that pot into the ground with about 6in of dirt space still above the pot and fil it up with soil up to where my plant is actualy starting to bush and as it streaches to light add more soil.

my brother inlaw grew some GREAT bud last year n thats who i go the advice from so i hope hes right:thumbsup:

he said this should help it stay alive and get stong enough to bear its "fruit'

I jus now did this and this is what my borther inlaw said to do to get it to grow stronger. im going to do this 5 hours a day for 2 weeks but of corse in this picture i had jus cut of the dead leaves n buried the plant up to where it was actualy bushing:question:
please let me know if i shouldnt do this the next time i grow

listen to your brother in law and maybe you will be fine idk about 5hrs a day i have my plants to vegg 18 hrs a day maybe not so good advice eh?
scotts nutrients are fine but try getting something better if your really serious about it

:thumbsup:i jus dont want my plant to streath too much cuz its not used to direct sunlight. he wasnt sure how many hours either but how many would you suggest

ive had it outside for about 4 hours and its just gettin weak and it seems like it will wilt i need some advice please
