While it's never a bad idea to listen to Dark Side of the Moon when you're stoned, it didn't have anything more than a casual sync with the movie. Anything more folks make of it is from them wanting it to "go perfectly" IMHO.

However this formula still works:

Reefer + Wizard of Oz = Good
Reefer + Pink Floyd = Very Good
Reefer + Wizard of Oz + Pink Floyd = Hell yeah!
