Mile Hi Medicinal Bash/Sacred Herb Fest
Anyone attend over the weekend?
Mile Hi was way busier than we expected. They didn't announce the raffles so a lot of people missed out while they were smoking on the patio. Music was great, though, and there were probably 100 patients outside putting some meds in the air.
Sacred Herb had a totally different vibe. Lots of shops were upset over not being able to vend. We just told everyone to donate to the Ounce that Counts giveaway and raised almost $200 between both events. Kottonmouth Kings didn't show up until the last half hour and both Feldman and Coolio were no shows.

we went to sacred herb in Longmont. had an interesting time.
I visited the doc while there and got a signoff for 50 + 1 lb.
talked to a bunch of folks, including the guy selling pheonix tears there. (iso based) and he let me have a taste.
we purchased some granola bars and some chocolate peanut butter cups.
My wife and I both started with a who bar, then each had a peanut butter cup an hour and a half later. nothing. bleh. I have to admit we eat a LOT of edibles... but for some reason our butter always gets the job done. People just don't know what the hell they are doing. argh.
BUT, I found a cool fold-out drying rack, and I stopped at the Centennial Seeds booth and picked up some beans. I think it's pretty cool to have a local seed company, that is interested in land-race genetics. I'm just putting seeds in a paper towel today, so I'll post pics of the grow as these come up.
It would have been nice to have had a place to medicate there, but this little tiny fest was SO MUCH BETTER than the convention monstrosity the cali folks put on back in April. Good info, good, local people there, growers there...
now if we can just get the xxx edibles somewhere.... nothing works for me but the cheesecake lady stuff, and the fudge at GM's.
Would LOVE to hear about great edibles in the Boulder area. I am the ultimate strength tester LOL. (better keep making my own)Colorado patient grower. :rambohead:

Look for the Mountain Medicine bars. She doesn't distribute them to everyone, so they're hard to find but XXX strength. One of the owners at a full one on accident and fell asleep on a hardwood floor for three hours. They come in a white plastic bag and have a few different flavors. If they don't knock you down, edibles probably aren't for you.
I asked New Age about the Centennial seeds (they carry them) and he said he wasn't that impressed with the genetics themselves. They seemed to be doing everything right, though.
Talked to Full Spec and they were adamant that although the Tears tested high, they would NEVER use them. Something about carbon chains that I couldn't really wrap my head around. Sounds like what they're doing is pretty impure.

it's Rick Simpson's "Cancer Cure."
I'm not at all sold on the claims, but am still curious.
