Love to hear how other people are operating their garden
I plan on soil. With a 100 W HPS light and several CFL's to round out the light spectrum. I'm using Miracle Grow for ferts and a soil medium that has dolomite already mixed into the soil. I've used miracle grow before and the plant was beautiful. I would love to use ferts like tiger bloom but I'm on a tight budget.

Oh, and I would recommend using blackstrap unsulphured molasses. The plants really love it and it promotes growth of enzymes and microbes your plant needs. A lot of nursuries and horticulturists use it to bulk up flowers and fruit. It's amazing. It makes your buds bigger. it contains significant amounts of vitamins and minerals. Blackstrap molasses is a source of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron; one tablespoon provides up to 20% of the daily value of each of those nutrients.

I plan on growing one plant at a time. I will continue to get from the producers but growing my own will give me back-up in case the producers run out. I want to be totally self-sufficient but I don't have the funding for more or stronger lights. It's just not in the cards.

addendum: I was wondering. Is it possible to start grow journals on this Forum? That way there are weekly updates and photos of growth rate and different grow areas. We can get ideas from each other and solve problems We can even post pics like Pepurr showing issues with plants and what to do to fix 'em. What do you all think?

disregard the first post. It wouldn't let me edit.
