Personal producers: How do you grow?
I was wondering how people are or planning to operate their garden. For instance, I use Hydroponics and will be perpetually harvesting; about 2 plants every 2-3 weeks. My intention is to be able to yield 1.5-2 zips per plant.

addendum: I was wondering. Is it possible to start grow journals on this Forum? That way there are weekly updates and photos of growth rate and different grow areas. We can get ideas from each other and solve problems We can even post pics like Pepurr showing issues with plants and what to do to fix 'em. What do you all think?

Personal producers: How do you grow?
Every 2 months, not 2 weeks.
My challenge has been keeping it rather short but developing good nodes but I've got it down pretty good due to some light upgrades. Due to the limited size of my tent, I can be very choosy in which plants I'm vegging to move in, my veggie garden can contain up to 12 plants and my flowering, 4.
I use very simple ebb/flow gardens, planters filled with Hydroton/Rockwool. A Hydrofarm Jumpstart to root clones/start seeds, 400w halide to veg and a 600w Hortilux to flower. For food, I use Botanicare Grow and Sweet to Veg, using Botanicare Bloom to Flower and will carefully use a bloom additive when they start growing bigger buds.
My strain is Aurora Indica a good medical grade that will put you to sleep, a very short but dense flower yielding plant that puts out large colas, the stretch has been 11-12" to 30-34" or so, very manageable in my tent.
My biggest gain has been good veg time and success with the genetic seeds. Biggest flubs have been killing two sprouts, burning once with Chlorine and learning the hard way that nutes dont evaporate and they can build up in the grow medium.
I could use a EC/PPM meter and a wall divider, but the lights cleaned me out. So I make sure water levels/ph are pristine and change every 10 days.

Nice that you say that, I had expected the plant to smell skunky but it's been more of a pine/lemon type smell, especially when I rub the leaves around the budsites.
It's been decent to grow, seems to be one big cola and some good branches. I just culled my garden of all my Afghan Kush (free seed pack, one female + 2 clones) because of the thickness of the plant, only grows one cola the branch nodes weren't getting any good light, even with my 600.Get seeds, learn to garden and take control of your medication.
