when using seeds there is going to be some genetic variathon among the plants. Some may be tall than others, some may have wider lieaves, some may turn purple during flower. t\
Or it could be that the small plant got stunted or stressed in one way or another.

Your going to have to post a picture of the pistils in so we can get a good look at it. Hopefully, you have a female on your hands. Male pollen sacks looks like clusters of balls. Female pistils should have hairs coming out of the creating a V shape out of the pistil.
