I had the same problem with 2 batches of super silver haze seeds from the same company "www." they sent me replacements and they didnt work either, they germinated barely and didn't ever grow, the free hash spice seeds they sent me are growing nicely go figure.

I had some dark seeds that did not grow for me more then once. I tend to think the lighter brown/greyish seeds work best for some reason. I have not had the best of luck using the paper towel. I read an article awhile back "last year" and also seen it re-capped in either hightimes or growers in last month issue. Both articles stated to skip the wet paper towel. It said to soak the seeds for 24 hours it a cup of water. Then place the seeds in a dixie cup "one seed per cup" using your soil mix. Place the seeds down about 1/2 inch in "loose" soil. Put the cup on a gemanaztion "no sure of spelling" pad at 80 degrees. Check soil every 12 to 24 hours to make sure it does not dry out. In last month article he said he did the paper towel and the soil side by side with seeds from the same shipment and the seeds that were put right into soil grew better and faster from the start.
I have been using the above for about a year and it works great. Once less transfer to stress the plants.
But if you decide to stick with the paper towel sometimes it takes several days for the seeds to pop

I think that is one of the most debated topic, none of the s.s.h. seeds did anything but I replaced them with northern lights seeds a few days later and did the exact same thing and in 2 days there were 2 inch roots coming out of the seeds.

i use the paper towel but as dude above said i also do the 24 hour soak. If you try the soil gig then make sure you check a lil more often than 12-24 hours. those heat pads work but yea i do the paper towel after the soak with the heat pad. good deals.
