    Light Question

Hey all, new to the forum

i would like to start a small closet grow, i dont have much start up cash right now asi just moved to California

Im wondering if i can use these, http://tinyurl.com/357akxr for growing 1 or maybe 2 plants, the plants are about 8 weeks old and im thinking they could use more constant light than sunshine they are about 14 inches tall but not showing any signs of being matured, im going to bring them in and set it up if these will work for growing.

appreciate any input or info, ive got the growers bible and a few other books so im trying to learn myself, but lights seem to be the big hurdle for me.

    Thanks

    Light Question

I'm a novice myself, just to let you know. My info may not be 100% perfect, but I do feel like I'm geting a feel for this

Personally, I'm using CFLs for my grow, and I'm happy with them, but I have one of these for my veging plants and a 2700k (warm/daylight) for flower. Plus, I have each plant surrounded by extra 26w CFLs, not to mention I currently have only a single plant under each.

The lights you have a link to will work, but I would say to have any kind of success, IE harvested wieght, you will want at the very least 4 bulbs for each plant, but really for your 14" plants you should have more like 8 of those. If you arrange them right with 4 on one side for one plant, 4 in the middle to share between the two plants, and another 4 on the far side you will be happy.

As for them maturing, it should be happening any day now. I think most plants are supposed to mature between 2 and 3 months.

Hope that helped, and happy growing.

    Light Question

Thanks alot for the info about the lights, i went out to check the plants today and they are both starting to mature one is female the other appears to be male, so i will only be bringing the female into the closet for now.

I was able to pick up 4 of the bright white CFL bulbs, they are 2100 lumens a piece so i hope they are sufficent for the flowering stage.

I dont have alot of options right now so i will work with what i have, but i plan on ordering one of those lights that was linked ASAP, it seem like they would be very useful.

If anyone has anything to add please feel free to chime in
appreciate any info i can get at this time

    Thank you
