Got stung by a bark scorpion last night
I didn't like living on the AF Base or in town either, so I understand how you feel about Tucson. Once we moved out to the desert, I loved it. The stars were amazing there. That's what I miss most. Didn't spend much time in Phoenix, so I'm not real familiar with the "lay of the land". My son still lives in Tucson and he wants to move to Phoenix as soon as possible.

We killed five rattlers on our property over the 3 years we lived there. I didn't like that we couldn't let our toddler grandson go outside to play much because of the wildlife. It sounds incredible, but I also got tired of the skies always being so clear and days so sunny. I'm an Adams family kind of guy and actually like the rain.
