Can I grow AND have a caregiver now?
That's correct. If you are a caregiver yourself, you can't have a caregiver.
If you're a patient, you & your caregiver can split your plant numbers.
This is what I do with most of my patients, as most want to be able to grow on their own someday. What I do is mentor them for their first couple of harvests, while we split their numbers. Once they feel comfortable, they either drop me as their caregiver or reduce the number of plants I can have (usually reduce down to 1, to keep me as a mentor). Now with this new regulation, I'm going to have to drop those patients of mine who I've been mentoring for a while and just have 1 of their plants as now they count against my patient number.
