I am in kind of a jam and need to delete all old grow journals i have posted here. I have been unable to delete anything. I was wondering if you had the power or could point me to the right person to remove these posts. Me and my family safety are in serious jeopardy and hope this is not to much to ask. I have a case pending not related to cannabis and this could have severe consequences if i cannot get my former journals posts removed. Below is the link

...but how is it that your logs here could be identified with you in real life? I assume FrostAie is not your birth name, so I'm just wondering why you fear the 'authoritahs' with regards to your logs..?

(I second the above opinion--nice grows!)

[not a mod, just a fellow gardener, curious]

Anytime you are in a situation and the law is involved, they can access certain things. Computers are a big source of information and they may have the right to tap into it! I know what you are saying about it being under a "screen name" but if it's on his computer, he is responsible for the content. I'm involved in a lawsuit for a car accident where the other party is 100% at fault. My attorney highly advised I get rid of any myspace/facebook type accounts to avoid any problems.

FrostAie - Contact a moderator and they should be able to help you with deleting old threads. I would delete the profile all together if I were you. If you think they are going to tap into your computer, I would delete everything.....i mean, wipe the hard drive out! I don't know the specifics of your case. But if you are worried they might access your internet history, I would rather be safe than sorry! Good luck!!!

...we can live in a world where this stuph ain't nec'sary. I feel kinda honoured to have perhaps been amongst the very last to have viewed such lovely work.

Please take your laptop/desktop to a local computeryoda you trust, and have them either REALLY wipe the drive(s) you're worried about, or, if you have the money, remove all hard drives, upgrade 'em at the same time to new bigger ones anyway. and PHYSICALLY DESTROY THE OLD DRIVES. Drill through the platter area many times with a large titanium or better drill bit, until there is so much destruction that you can not physically spin those things up. :gunfighter2:

You could take it personally to a huge public dump, and just chuck it, personally one day, with a bit of other trash, if you don't have time. Unless you were under insane scrutiny, it would prolly be ok there.

    buuuuut....

If you do not have access to a drill press, get that thing in a vice at least, and be FURKIN' careful when using yer hand drill on it. If possible, FIRST remove the cover of the hard drive so you can see the platters directly (sometimes they use really obscure screws that YOU just don't have a screwdriver for. Finish the job with a large ball-peen or other hammer, making sure to bend and dent the platters inside. :apachecopter:

Please do this as soon as possible, if the consequences you're worried about are dire. And come back, as soon as possible (or at least lurk from public computers when possible!)
