although Obama and many other politicians have RECENTLY said that offshore drilling is perfectly safe, I dont think the burden of this spill lies on our government. Because honestly the federal government in this country has no idea how to fix this problem, this is on BP. The last spill was what, Exxon-Valdez? and the only shore that touched was Alaska's, which in mainly rocky terrain, not the marshes and very fragile ecosystems in Louisiana. This is our problem as Americans, but BP's fault, and they should be held responsible.

But you guys do know that with all the money BP has, in the end they will not be held responsible, and will not have to account for their actions. What will happen is someone high in our government will make a great deal of money from BP and the blame will most likely be placed elsewhere.
Here are some fact's:
Regardless of what caused this, it is an environmental hazard. The EPA needs to step in and do something about it. If they don't, then wtf is their purpose? Keep in mind EPA means Environmental Protection Agency. If this continues, and more harm is done to the native and ecological system at least it will show how incompetent our government really is.
What really gets me is they have all this money to have the EPA, and for what, so the EPA can do nothing?
The government knows oil is a hazard to wildlife and our ecosystem, but yet they allow the drilling to continue. Not only that, but they just let a well spill the fuck out while people point fingers, and in the mean time the .gov has their fingers up their asses collecting taxes from every citizen in the USA, and getting money from cancer sticks and yet they can't come up with equipment to put a stop to this? What a fucking joke.
Obama mine as well be Bush, because debt still goes on, gas prices still go up, and you and me still get poorer, way to make us slaves, how is this a free country, or for that matter United States, every state has their own different laws from each state to the next, its more like the Un-United States.
And if I were to gather with you guys to overthrow their money making scams, we would be called anarchists, HAHAHA!!! I say we all come up with our own laws and tell them to listen to us, they are putting our families and their lives at risk... There is no war on terror, I will tell you why, because if I really wanted to kill someone I would succeed. Strike fear in to the hearts of the american people so they depend more on you, so that you can make more sheep out of them. The United States is like Hitler, only alot more stealthier and use better excuses for the shit they pull.
