?Preflower cloning/yeild
i planted before summer this year and plants went into preflowering. im happy i got to pull the males but i heard that when people do what i did, their plants have a low yeild because they put so much energy into going back and forth from flowering. Does anyone know how much it will hurt the yeild? Im planning to clone the girls I got when/if they switch back to veg (but if they are clones of the preflowerers, they will have a low yeild already not to mention the extra stress from cloning?)
If anyone has any experience with any of this id really like to know more of what to expect or whether i shouldnt even bother cloning the preflowering femalesRedwhitEsonavaB Reviewed by RedwhitEsonavaB on . ?Preflower cloning/yeild i planted before summer this year and plants went into preflowering. im happy i got to pull the males but i heard that when people do what i did, their plants have a low yeild because they put so much energy into going back and forth from flowering. Aloha,
It would all depend on how far north you grow at. I prefer regrows, But I have a long enough time to get my first harvest in, cut them back, and leave bottom branches to go long and pull a second large harvest in October.
It does take time to go from flower to vege. If you live with a short growing season I would not recomend doing this.
As for clones from regrows, once the plant is back in vege mode, they will yield the same as any branch clone.
Here is a before/after of one of this years regrow. I harvested 2 ozs off the top and the three branches I left behind will yield lowball a lb come October.

Because like i said, never done it before, but given that time, im thinking it would be more growth from the flowers. So, more branches, more ability to grow buds. Small to mid range in size, but yield as high if not bigger? I guess if you think it wouldn't turn around at least in two months, then there wouldn't be enough time. I wish Rusty would pop by, he has the re veg down great and is where i learned what to do to get mine out for re veg.
I would take advantage of it, but im really new to this so ya might get a few opinions:thumbsup: Good luck tho man and id luv to see how she turns out.
