    CFL QUESTION

some growers do full grows with a few of those.
It will work great for backup, especially when backing the sun.

    CFL QUESTION

...yeah, that should work fine, tho you might want a couple more than just one, depending on how much space you're trying to cover.

The 5500k colour temperature is pretty good for veg, though a higher number here wouldn't hurt. The 27w for 1400 lumens is not bad, either, but you might do better to get a 45w actual / 200w equiv, that puts out 3000 lumens, in the 4100k temp.

Sunblaster makes a CFL bulb that somehow uses only 26w, but puts out 2400 lumens, in the 6400k temp. THIS one is the most efficient lumens/watt. IF you can find 'em...
