newbie pics of problem plant please help

    Please Help,

I started this white widow plant about a month and a half ago, at first it was great it shot up like crazy, all the leaves where bright green and new leaves appeared every few days, after it got root bound from the dixie cup i moved it to a pot and it is in all purpose "no extended release" jiffy potting soil, it liked that for a while but 2.5 weeks ago the bottoms leaves got yellowish brown spots on then wilted up and i had to cut them off then the leaves up higher did the same and so on now i have only 3 sets, and the bottom set is doing the same.

I have these under 2 - 4ft florescent grow lights, a heating lamp in the far corner to keep the room temp at about 75-80 degrees i have an oscilating fan in the corner and i move fresh air in several times a day.

i started feeding it last week with 30/15/9 miracle grow nut mix and i sprayed the leaves with mold/mildew and bug spray, it seems to be looking better at the very top and it started growing a little better, but i dont know if the leaves at the bottom will continue diying and i would think this plant would be bigger with allot more foliage by now.

    please help

ps. the 3 small new plants are hash spice, does anyone know much about them they came free

ur grow area could be a concern you want it too look how a monthold plant should look then you should look towards geeting reflective walls or a grow box becasause those lamps are mainly for cuttings they work for veg but your lamps are suspended in the air throwing light everywere instead of just the plants so there not getting enough light since its strtched now because of the dead leaves you can lst it and have a good yield but the plant looks fine and so is the strain so good luck
btw i prefer a 18/6 ive tried 24/7 but didnt like it ..but thats just me

You're going to need more light. The effective light from the fluoroescent tubes only extends a few inches. Your set-up is fine for seedlings or young clones, but insufficient for longer-term.

I use the 18/6 schedule for the growth phase. The plants seem to appreciate it more than 24/0.

With the Miracle Grow, I'm pretty sure suggested dosages are for a two week period, not weekly. Cut the nutes in half if you were thinking it was for one week.

Growing indoors isn't a plant-and-forget kind of garden. You'll want to find a way to test your water ph, you'll need proper lighting for the phase they are in, ventilation and circulation...

Without the basics for indoors, the plants will struggle to perform.

Distilled is does not always have all the necessary minerals, how's your tap? And ph neutral is a little high going in (not too much but better to be a little under 7.0).

As said already, you need more light. Ditch the heat lamp, buy a couple 4 packs of 23w or 42w CFL's, then 6 Y socket splitters, and another powered light socket if you don't have one. Connect 3 Y splitters together so you have 4 sockets for bulbs in one unit that gets screwed into the powered light socket. Check out the "El Cheapo Guide to Lighting" sticky in the Indoor Lighting section. Keeping temps down will be the next issue...

LST might be something to look into also, but just have to be careful not to snap anything!

    Happy growing

I got a 400 w hps outfit and foxfarm ocean forest soil with grow big nut and add a little pee to spike the nitro, the 3 hash spices are blooming nicely, the white widow has grown but the stim is the same length and it looks like a limp noodle, either bad genetics, nube mistakes or both things are looking up though i germinated super silver haze seeds and 4 grew immediately and they are planted just waiting for them to show leaves.

they look hungry. perhaps they are stunted from lack of food early on? All my plants used to look like that, including those in foxfarm with foxfarm nutes until I started using miracle gro soil.

I just thought i would post some pics of this almost dead white widow, the lates pics are 1 week after the pics about it, they dont even look like the same plants, "I replanted it, fed it fox farm trio, and just started flowering it 3 days ago". I just kept this plant around as a learning plant since this is my first grow, this is a perfect example of why you should never give up on a plant just keep making changes until she likes it.
