Ha, by the time I finish each bowl it's black! I can't really comment on how much better vaiping is than smoking cause I'm a LONG time cigerette smoker (23ish years) so any anicdotal advice I could offer (besides vaip more/smoke less) would be tainted due to the cig smoking.

I personally like how vaiping makes me feel. It's a lot smoother buzz and seems to work better on my pain.

Yes, I only smoke when I can't vaip like when I'm hiking.

If there are a lot of hikers out there maybe we could put together a hiking group. I just bought $200 worth of gear and am trying to get my GPS and boots (another $800). Right now, I just do the JeffCo parks and you can see the Google Earth overlay I made here on them. I'm also working on a 4ish day hike up to the head waters of the Colorado River. You can see that KLM here. If you look real hard, you can see my pics at some of the parks.

My goal last year was to hike every developed JeffCo park and I missed my goal by 3. I lost the good weather before I could finish. If anyone is intrested hit me up at my work [email protected]. I would LOVE company when I'm out on the trail but I am a VERY, VERY slow hiker and break often. My fav park is Reynolds Ranch followed very closely by Centennial Cone. Honestly tho, amost all of them (except the ones in the city) are great, great parks that can take you in to the backcountry without being far from the city.

And just an idea to boot, maybe we could make a collective stop into see Mark at GM as we're out.

Fuck me, I'm as bad as a serious cigarette smoker wheezing for air on short vertical runs. I was fucking embarrassed hiking with this girl I'm trying to hook up with who is in good shape
May I ask how you combust your cannabis?

I use a cig lighter... was buying beeline but was going fast and just got to be a pain to keep up with it...
I use my bubbler almost exclusively now although up until 2-3 months ago it was all bongs (very well could be the problem). Smoke joints a few times a week. And out on the trails I just use a small glass bat...

Based on personal experience, disposable lighters bubbler/pipe combo is a very destructive way to smoke.

I used to wake up hacking and coughing at night... switched to a vaporizer and that helped. The problem though was actually the lighter. I'll bet you an eighth of my best chem 4 that if you switch to a torch-windproof lighter and use it with quadruple filtered premium butane, you will find much less lung problems after 1-2 weeks... the moke is AMAZINGLY cleaner. Disposable lighters are poison!!!!!! :rastasmoke:

You ever think you need to just be more active? Can't expect to be a marathon runner right off the couch. I quit smoking cigarettes this past X-mas, and I thought it would be a drastic change in my breathing ability. And it was substantial, but what really needed to be done was for me to be more active more frequently. I now either skate, bike, or hike at least 3 times a week and I'm blazin' past all my buddies that still smoke. Good luck with the girlie.

Gotta agree with those that are saying that being physically fit or unfit is a big factor in it. Of course the inhalation of anything besides air isn't the best thing for your lungs, but as a physically fit person who hasn't smoked a cigarette for a couple months, yet I have smoked sizable amounts of cannabis, I am comfortable saying, my lungs are doing extremely well and I rarely get out of breath any more.

High altitude hiking can be pretty rough on a physically unfit person by the way. Did some hiking in Colorado as a cigarette smoker, most unpleasant hike I have ever done had more fun in the Bisti Badlands in NM lol
