mh flood fixture or High Bay

    hi all ..

I just purchased a metal halide 400 watt lamp that is a flood fixture here is the picture can these work in a basic setup ? ...

does a flood like fixture make it not possible to grow flowers ?

I want to purchase 1 more for the setup and I have many florescent lights though I wont buy if they don't work ...

also I can buy the high bay 400 watt check out the picture is this a better choice then the first light I bought because I need to buy 1 more and its out of these 2 choices ???

I know most people will say buy hps I just don't have money and I get these at great deals so these are my only choices hope you guys can give me so pointers

hope to hear from you soon

just received the light this things pretty big the picture doesn't do it justice ...

it came with everything ... though no plug .... just 2 red wires popping out the ballast

    couple questions ...

this thing came with a mount though I think because it is a flood light maybe it cant be running on pointing down ... will it explode or start some fire ... or is this ok to do ??

another question is should I mount the ballast inside the unit .. or outside of it ...

and again should I buy the other light in the picture or stick with another one of these bad boys ??

those are industrial lights...designed, to hang from the factory ceiling...very risky...:wtf:

probably 240 volts?...designed, to be hardwired by an electrican?

well there is 2 wires popping out the unit ... im no electrician though I'm sure that this can be spliced with a 3 pron cord ... it is a flood light .. and read alot of information about wiring up flood lights ...

I can get the thing going no problem though no one has answered if this can work for growing some buds ... do I need a grow fixture or can this do ...

this is my most important question ... I just dont want to waste my money on the whole project and my plants die in 2 weeks ...

seed money blown light money that would be a bumber in some many ways lol

right now these lights are my only options ... is it possible or is it a waste of time ??? hope you guys can help
