Move Them, or Leave Them? Need opinions!

I am a newbie grower, and I am probably being way too attentive and critical to the process. But I have grown one plant in the past, which turned out to be a total dud. So I really wanna get it right this time!
I have my plants outdoors and in the ground. They are about 15 inches tall, and in vegetative state. I expected them to get approx 12 hours of light, 8 hours being direct sunlight. However, they are only getting 12 hours light, 6 hours being direct sunlight.. They are literally 3 feet short of the ideal spot... ughhh.

Basically my question is: would the risk of digging them up and moving them be worth the extra 2-3 hours of direct sunlight they would get in the new spot?

i think youre good as far as the sunlight. ive grown successfuly with that amount of direct light, probably less. your problems are probably due to over or underwatering, possibly soil nutrients not being right. dont dig up your plants. its a learning process growing outdoors you win some you lose some. there are charts online to determine whats going wrong with your plant, i suggest you check them out. whats your dirt look like? a lot of clay? i always dig a hole 1 foot in diameter and mix bagged soil with the natural.
