I was there last year with your same issue, so i understand. What you want to do is leave them right there and il tell ya why. You will get nice buds for sure, even if they had less direct sun light.

I have my plants outdoors and in the ground. They are about 15 inches tall, and in vegetative state. I expected them to get approx 12 hours of light, 8 hours being direct sunlight. However, they are only getting 12 hours light, 6 hours being direct sunlight.. They are literally 3 feet short of the ideal spot... ughhh.
Because its going to be your really first grow to count, ya never count the first fuck up in my book. They will grow and bud nice. But, they just will not be really tall. But you will harvest buds for sure and because of this, just grow them out where they are. The reason for this is, one, if you move them, it will stress the hell out of them and could hermy or give males only. And two, its your first grow man. Just watch them grow. Sit with them. Get high with em. This will teach you so much and if you move them an fuck em up, ya gotta wait till next year. Mine were only knee high, but buds were every place with an ok yield. Most important i got buds and so will you. If you can try and knock some of the shit thats blocking the sun if ya can, if not just grow em. If ya look in my sig and read my '09 outside grow you will see how mine were shaded. Well, i learned from it and knocked down some shit and this year im thinking better grow. Its all about learning man, each grow. Plus its not to late to plant more.

Basically my question is: would the risk of digging them up and moving them be worth the extra 2-3 hours of direct sunlight they would get in the new spot?
No, because you will get a harvest or il freaking send ya a sak. No shit man, its better to get buds that will be good and learn, by watching them. Tell no one, or they will get ripped. If ya got issues il help ya the whole year through. I have my grow log here, so you could post there if ya want, or just keep this going. One year my plant got maybe 3 hours of direct light, but still got an oz from it, so just go with it man, trust me it will be better then digging them up.

One question, How long have they been in the ground? And post everything in one thread man, you will get more help then jumping around with different questions, just put them all here.
