I have my plants outdoors and in the ground. They are about 15 inches tall, and in vegetative state. I expected them to get approx 12 hours of light, 8 hours being direct sunlight. However, they are only getting 12 hours light, 6 hours being direct sunlight.. They are literally 3 feet short of the ideal spot... ughhh.

Basically my question is: would the risk of digging them up and moving them be worth the extra 2-3 hours of direct sunlight they would get in the new spot?
Good question, This isn't too much of a problem at the moment but will when flowering starts ,so I would move them now while they are still relatively small and you can get around the roots without doing too much damage.
If they will get an extra 2-3 hrs direct now if you move it ,that extra time will be invaluable in bloom.

Let's hear some more comments before you take out the spade.

Good Growin.
