UPS guy saw garden on deck...

So, I had a few plants growing out on my deck at my house and the stupid UPS guy came back there to deliver a package to my rear door and saw the plants! This is the kicker - he came through a LOCKED gate. We have two padlocked chain link fence type gates on either side of the yard and the one he came through can be pushed open (with enough force) even though it is locked. Anyway, we have a few more plants inside and now we are really nervous and wonder if we should get rid of them as well. We already got rid of the ones we had outside. UPS has never delivered packages to our rear door before, and like I said, the gate was locked so he either pushed his way through, or hopped the fence to get back there. I know he saw the plants as they are right by the door. I have now put a chain on the gate along with the padlock.

Advice?

Touchy situation, I would def scrap the girls outside since they were always be what I like to call "red alert". You can grow them as big and beautiful as you want but once you leave to work the ol UPS guy can just go right back. Either move them inside or scrap em. My neighbor saw me working inside my set cuz he was lurking through the window and the next day. Everryttthhiinnggggg was gone!:thumbsup:

Came through a locked fence onto your property? I'd go take pics of your fence and save them on your computer.......just in case. And move ur girls somewhere FAR more secure.....i dont grow anything anywhere near my personal property or near my residence for that matter.

And how many of his UPS buddies ya figure he told when he got back to his station at the end of the day? My guess,alot. From their standpoint..../..a nice jack move will net all profit and if their outside its even easier. What are ya gonna do,call the cops? Nope.

If you are going to grow, be ready to accept what happens. Its not the UPS guy's responsibility to notify anyone what he may or may not have seen, but with today's so-called conservatives and other aberrant political fringe groups and political types, people are now making themselves unofficial informers for the government. So, if you are going to grow, no matter where, be prepared to stand up for your true right to do so. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the replies! The one's we had out there are gone now - males anyway so no big loss - that's why they were out there to begin with. Our concern was what are the chances this dude would tell the cops what he saw? If he did, what then?

We don't really have any other place to put the girls we have inside and we hate to dump them at this point.

How much have the indoors ones developed? Hopefully they have bud on them. If I were you, I would harvest them. Then I would rent a mini storage, put the weed in the bottom of a box, and store it.

Seems it would be good to cut your losses at this point. Also the thought of the UPS guy ratting you out is of great concern. You need to do the things that will give you peace of mind. Then if the cops arrive at your door, you can tell them you don't know what they are talking about. Then if they search your home you will have no worries.

After that it may be good to lay low for a while. If the cops are informed, they will have interest in watching you for a while. They will get no where though because of what you have done. Then they will give up.

That's my thoughts. Main thing is, you need to do what will protect your family and home from these informers and cops. Only you can decide the final course of action. :hippy:

I'd worry way less about the UPS guy rattin you out to the cops and worry more that he will get his cousins to come back with handguns and rifles to see if you have profit $ on the inside of your house. He's delivering for UPS, not working managment....a little extra cash always sounds good to an oppurtunist. Or he's a normal dude and could care less or even noticed to begin with.

Still very wierd he jumped a locked backed fence.......ballsy.....shit would not fly where I live thats for sure.

Believe me, I wanted to beat his ass - but what can I do...piss on him and he probably would say something. My first instinct was to call and bitch about it, but I thought better of it.

I'm really hoping that he is a normal dude and just went on about his business not even thinking of it. Still sucks that we have to worry about this now - stupid to put them outside, but who knew this would happen? They were on a back deck that's not viewable/accessible by any way unless you jump the fence or force your way in.

I would get everything out to a friends house asap. Saw something similar to this on another forum, 2 days later he had the police at his door with a search warrent. They found nothing becuase he moved it all to a friends house. This was law enforcement so no danger of them running up in his house with guns trying to rob him so if i were you id get rid of em for 2 weeks see if anything happens. Better to be safe than sorry ! Also the fact that your in america (im guessing) is worse as the punishment is real bad for growing, here we only get a slap on the wrist, no jail, nothing.

Could a search warrant be obtained through what a delivery guy may have seen? Keep in mind that he entered the property through/over a locked gate into our backyard...
