The state ho's in the capitol have sold us out again to big money. say goodbye to the local mom and pop shops with great colorado grown product. another corporate takeover of our free market system. boycott these wall mart dispensaries and support the local folks!

Sorry, but if 5K in looming state fees is going to close your business down, it probably wasn't going to last much longer.

The Walmart analogy doesn't really work here because it assumes one company taking all of the market share, then unilaterally raising prices across the board once they had that control. Instead, you're going to see something closer to gas stations; a lot of independent owners and operators selling similar products and at a similar price.

I just heard from Corry the real number being passed around is $30,000.00, not everyone has that, plus city fees, plus paying for labeling add in more detailed accounting expenses. tell us some more fantasy figures, you think they can fund 1 agent for every 10 dispensaries on a 5 grand fee, think again my friend!

The bond wouldn't be expensive and I hope you're right on the other figures--because they are reasonable. Smaller dispensories would be able to afford this.

Here's my take on it and call me an idealist if you must but we shouldn't have to go though the time and trouble to challange it. It shouldn't be there in the first place.

It would be pretty easy to get one of the former owners to sign on as a partner in order to get around the residency requirement.
