Well if they do it like Wal-mart they will drop the prices so low that mom and pop will not be able to grow for those prices. Then poof mom and dad are gone. The small dispencaries will have the same problems. Big money rules.
The average person will go there because they will offer a very wide rang and the prices will be low, low, low. Till they are the only ones.

I was just talking to a friend about this......correct us if we are wrong. I thought there was something in the new law that states you have to be a resident for two years

Sorry, but if 5K in looming state fees is going to close your business down, it probably wasn't going to last much longer.
The Walmart analogy doesn't really work here because it assumes one company taking all of the market share, then unilaterally raising prices across the board once they had that control. Instead, you're going to see something closer to gas stations; a lot of independent owners and operators selling similar products and at a similar price.

That's what they had laid out in the fiscal note. It hasn't been decided yet, but they don't have a lot of wiggle room when essentially the state's accountant gives them a figure.
Medical Marijuana Center $1,800
Optional Premises Cultivation $500
Infused Products Manufacturing $500
Key License for Employees $125
Support License for Employees $20
Employee Registration $10
Plus the $5000 bond. So if you're a dispensary with two grows, you're looking at roughly $7500.

If the state licensing fee is set in the 10's of thousands--we must assume that this was a deliberate--under the table action--by lawmakers in this state to condone giant monopolies---thereby--severly limiting access and free market pricing competition to medical marijuana patients.

From what I understand about the process, that's why they have these fiscal notes... so lawmakers can't just make up a number.

Fiscal notes stop lawmakers from basically just pulling a number outta their ass. youʻre correct, cause we all know if not for these generally set numbers shit would get outta wack real quick(not like it already hasnʻt started)
