How long does it usually take for the plant to sprout, I planted about 10 (all i had) and it's been about a week and a half. So far they haven't grown at all. Are there any other requirements to growing outdoors. It didn't flood away either, because it's hardly rained lately.

and planting seeds directly into the outside soil attracts every sprout eater around. best to start in a pot where protected and plant when trunk gets 'woody'.

    OR...

cut the ends off both ends of an alum can and center it over the seed. when it sprouts it will have some protection from insects and can be left in place, cut off or buried as plant matures...try it. it really works...

so freaky... i planted a seed in a jiffy pot thing with some others and i kept adding more in, so i had it around for a while. the 1 plant i have now is the 1st 1 i planted in the jiffy pots and it didnt pop out for over a month. just be patient.
