You would have to register as a care giver for the patient,but legally,at this time,care givers can only transport cannabis for patients, not grow for them.
As far as I know,if the patient has a personal production license, they may grow in their own home within the set limits,and there is nothing to prevent you from "advising" them as to grow procedures.
