The preparation. I've practiced crotching my quick fix bottle and warming it up in microwave and feel pretty comfortable about that aside from the shift when I sit down. This shift isn't too bad and the briefs keep it good enough I shouldn't have to rearrange. I can even keep the temp about 92 with no heating pad. I did a trial run on a dilution today and that doesn't work so if I am tested I will most certainly have to sub.

The setting. I've been told I'm hired and have the job with a start date and tomorrow I go to sign everything and make it official. I was told on the phone I could come anytime this week to sign but figure I would do it tomorrow. Application says the usual about drug and alcohol free work place and that you must pass urine test and you might be required to take a physical but I haven't been told I need to do either one yet.

The question. I have to drive about 45 minutes away so I will have to heat my QF before I leave and attach the lil hottie. The hottie says it's good for 8 hours but I have not practiced with it b/c I only have one. My question is how long will this lil hottie keep the temp at 98+? The hottie says 160F for 8 hours. Will I be good to go if I have to take a test tomorrow and heat my QF so early and attach the hottie? I'm thinking it's going to have to stay hot anywhere from 1.5-6 hours if I have to p tomorrow. I don't expect the signing of papers to take too long nor do I expect the drug test at same place as signing so I could leave the bottle in insulation in the car although I plan on crotching it the whole time just in case. Hopefully I have all contingencies covered. I was even going to dilute too just in case I can't sub but diluting won't work so no need in trying.

Was going for a test run again and see if I could hold the temp but now my thermometer on my bottle does not work? It's definitely hot enough. Could I have heated it too much or something?

It registered now. Guess it got a little too hot. The 100 was blue and is now green. My microwave gets it about 92-94 on 10s but I guess 14s was too much. 12s should do it.

Finally found some hot hands at a walmart. Hard to find these things in late spring. Had to locate the clearance shelves. Will report back my findings on how long it holds the temp. I have six of them so no excuses for not having temp right even if I have to wait 8 hours so long as I can go to the restroom during that time.

It will keep for a good amount of time if you keep if crotched but not if you take it out of your pants even though the hand warmer is going strong after 2 hours. I took it out of pants and temp went below 90. I put it back in and temp went back to 98. It's going to suck to keep it in pants the whole time I got to do all this paperwork and go over all this crap but got to be done I guess. So according to this I shouldn't have to change hand warmers before I go in to do paperwork. I'll take an extra with me just in case.

I went today and crocthed it the whole time we did all the stuff and they didn't even test me. They may do it on the first day but I wouldn't think so but I am totally comfortable crotching it for hours so I'll just do it again on day 1 just in case. The hot hands and crotching had it at 100 after 2.5 hours.

Finally found out I have a test tomorrow after lunch. I have the option of using my quick fix or emptying it out my bottle and into another and using some real human pee. My test will be at a little mom and pop type doc office but no idea where they send it or if they test it or what they do. What is my safest play? The human pee will be from 530am tomorrow morning so it will be fresh. Will bringing it back to temp at 7am work with a hand warmer and a crotch?

I did make it all day today with the quick fix at right temp (98+) from 7am to 6pm. Was over 100 around 12pm. Will human pee follow the same pattern?

As long as you know the pee is clean, no reason you can't use it. Save the QF for randoms.

Ended up using the QF b/c that's what I practiced with and I had no means of getting the human pee into the QF bottle w/out hitting store and didn't have time. Thought I had a funnel here. Public sector jobs cannot random you unless you sign away saying that you agree to it during sign up for employment. It will say something like pre-employment PLUS you must agree to our drug and alcohol free work-zone policy. I have not signed anything like that. Now if I wreck the co. car or do something else to get hurt I'm getting tested that day. Reasonable suspicion is allowed and technically could be a random catch all clause. I can't go in high anyways b/c it starts way earlier than I smoke.

The sample was sealed and bagged in front of me and they use quest or lab corp for the tests. All the lady does is check the temp. The temp was a hair above 100 going in the cup and I had to swish it and blow on it to get it to 98 but didn't take long. They do a 7 panel test. This doctor office has a setup just for the tests so it's obviously a big money maker for them. Hopefully I'm good to go. Love the people I'll be working with.
