Worried about hair test

Im just looking for some expert help on this. I have just accepted a great job pending I pass a Psychemedics hair test. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 230 pounds and I have blond hair that is about 1 inch long. To be honest, I haven't smoked since Nov. 23, 2009, and before that it was only a couple times a month. My hair analysis is scheduled for June 14, 2010. So from the time I last smoked to the time I get tested it will have been just over 200 days. I just got my hair cut and while there we figured my hair is growing at just over .5 inch per month. Should I be worried and is there anything I should do?

From everything I've read on this, hair follicles can store THC for up to 6 months. The longer you're hair grows out, the further back they can detect. Most facilities cut from 3-5cm from the scalp and trash the rest, which changes the detection period to about the last 90 days or so. Again, this is just what I've researched - I figure after 200 days and a haircut or two you're probably fine. Good luck man!

Keep researching... THCA stops depositing into the hair 2-3 days after your last smoking session. So if you cut your hair to the scalp 7-10 days afterwords, all new hair growth is clean hair.

Longroad, you have been clean plenty of time and should have nothing to worry about. Also, most collectors look for a hair sample of 3/4 of an inch or more when testing. Cutting your hair really short will only force them to find the sample elsewhere.
