Are clubs really not for Profit?
non profit (not getting into 501C) just means that the purpose of forming the business was not primarily to make profit, but for some other venture. In the case of dispensaries I would imagine it to be something along the lines of, "...is formed for the purpose of providing safe access to mmj IAW 69.51A and all Washington State laws...etc..."
Just because their donation price is set above their purchase price doesn't mean that the difference is kept as profit. Non profits use that margin to cover their business expenses, pay employees, and accomplish the objective for which they were formed.
No one sells good indoor organic meds for $2,000 a pound in WA. Its closer to 2X that number or more for the best. If you tried to charge $30 an 1/8 for that you would lose money.justpics Reviewed by justpics on . Are clubs really not for Profit? Can anyone do math? Most clubs pay $2000 for a pound, they sell 8th's for $60 hmmmm lets see. $2000 for a pound makes 128 8th's. 128 X 16=$7680.00. 7680-2000=$5680 per pound and how many pounds can a decent club sell? Want to get rich open a club. Don't forget those $25.00 clones....I agree with another poster...$30.00 an 8th is a much fairer price. Rating: 5
