Street lore or not, you need a very good calibrated scale..calibrated by weights and measures to get down to this level of precision..and if LO decides to give your bag a couple of squirts with an atomizer, it's all going to be a moot point anyway.

"Your honor..at the time the evidence was weighed the relative humidity was t 92%..since it's at 58% today, the weight is no longer accurate and we ask that you go with the weight of the material when the evidence was first weighed"
Have any of you who have bought from a dispensary seen a scale? Is the product in cases, premeasured and packaged?

If you did see a scale, did it have a calibration sticker from the Department of Weights and Measure?

Seems to me it would be proper for their scales to be calibrated and checked by the proper authority. After all, this is not like buying produce from the market. This is a much more valuable commodity than bananas. When you buy fuel for your car, you see a calibration sticker on the pump. This needs to be done for the measuring devices used by the dispensaries.

Perhaps this should be brought up in the next meeting of the MMJ board. :hippy:

The weights and measures are irrelevant as each is clearly defined, if a law states "x ounces" is illegal or "x grammes" is, then they will certainly weigh it using the measure used in the law.

The only way you could possibly challenge it would be if the weights and measures used required a conversion, this would be highly unlikely .

How can they be irrelevant if they are defined? Being defined would seem to say they are quite relevant. The measure is what they will use for sentencing guidelines.

Perhaps I misunderstand your meaning. :stoned:

And therefore they will use equipment calibrated to that measure.
If the law states so many ounces they will measure using equipment calibrated to measure ounces and not grammes.

In this day and age of technological design most good scales will switch from one measure to another at the push of a button, I myself have scales suitable for 4 different measures.

The type of measure is only relevant if it must be converted, but once again the standard is set so a conversion would be a very simple equation.

x amount of grammes being equal to x amount of ounces and visa versa.

We need to return to the only measure that makes sense.......the LID.

...the most 'colloquial' measurement from the psychadelic 70's! Actually, earlier, but it was last in the 70s one heard it commonly. Correctly refers to an approximate 1/8oz of our favourite 'erb, measured from the lid of the Prince Albert tobacco can one was carrying an Oz in...

See The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers from Rip-Off Press for many excellent examples of the usage of this term Will also make ya laugh yer ballsack off [for the ladies unfortunate enough to read this vulgarity, substitute the word 'vulva' for 'ballsack']
