But 8 weeks in? Don't sweat it! Unless you have a very "fragile" strain, you shouldn't have a problem!

And does anyone else ever wonder why all that outdoor cannabis doesn't go 100% hermi? They get a fair amount of moonlight several nights a month! It comes down to the plant's genetics. Sometimes I think "light leaks" may just be an excuse for a "fragile" strain that hermies at the drop of a hat! Hermaphroditism is an excellent survival trait to insure a next generation even if there is only one plant in the area.

Yup, one time isn't a problem, even if it was all night. But even small light leaks on a consistent basis can ruin a crop.

I've read that the light level needed for the plant to "recognize" the light as daylight is about 3x as bright as a full moon. But I also wonder if plants that have been grown in complete darkness during the night cycle are more sensitive to light cycle interruptions, and of course some strains might be more or less sensitive...

I had 2 nice plants on my deck in a large grow tray, but didn't know the 100watt light right above them was being turned on periodically till it was to late. Not sure what was the worst of this grow, the fact that the ex pitched them over the railing of the porch. The fact that they did hermy, or me harvesting and gloating over my best attempt at growing. While smoking every bit:wtf:bitching about seed like shit all the hell over the place. I figured it out after more reading one day and yep, i smoked those damn things. Tasted like the most disgusting shit ever:wtf:. Im laughing now, now, lol

They had potential at one point, i even saved a couple pic's of them

    Live an learn, right:wtf:
