Grow Room Setup - Help Needed
Hello fellow growers,
I got a few questions "Bob" wanted me to ask you guys for educational purposes.
Bob said, he has a "house" in which he has to himself. He has a good size garage.
20ft by 25ft.
Water source is close in the other room, ventilation is taken care of.
Mylar and IR Protection Will be put.
Now let's say potential. With a Hydroponics system.
How much lighting to use? What type of lighting?
How many plants will bob be able to have in this area?
How much will all the equipment cost approx. ?
What is the avg yield with this type of hydroponics system you are recommending?
Thanks in Advance! :hello:mehul534 Reviewed by mehul534 on . Grow Room Setup - Help Needed Hello fellow growers, I got a few questions "Bob" wanted me to ask you guys for educational purposes. An experienced user should be able to get one pound of buds from one such area. Cost? Go look up what the light will cost you, and then add costs for the rest of the equipment...... trays, fans, pumps etc etc. Does that help?

Thanks!
The size of the "room" will be the garage which is 20x25 ft.
It's .5g per watt usually?
I'm thinking bob is going to be using 4000 Watts - HPS with Digital Ballast
Thats about 2000g = 4.5 LBS....
Now with hydroponics and good neurts... shouldn't that .5g per watt be almost .75 to 1g per watt? which would be around 9-10LB.

Your friend Bob is looking at a considerable investment of both blood and treasure. The best advice you can give him is this:
1. Buy a book and read it.
2. Teach him or her to use the search function - hint the built in search on most sites is less than optimal so consider using Google to search your favorite site.
3. Point out that a wealth of information is available on this and other forums. Suggest that he/she start by reading the stickies and tutorials. See my signature line for a good example that applies directly to your situation!
Really. I don't mean to be rude. Here is the best advice I can offer. Do your homework and come back with a post that provides a detailed outline of the setup you are considering. Then ask for pointers, input, and advice. You will get a lot of support if you approach the problem from that angle.
