Re-potting just before flower??

So, I'd prefer to re-pot, BEFORE I put them into flower. They are root bound, or really close in these 4,5 gallon pots. I plan to do a little SCROG on them too.
What I'd like to do is re-pot them into say eight gallon pots, move them into the flower room, SCRog them (to level the tops as much as possible), then trim out all the small undergrowth, then veg them for a week before flowering to recover from all of that.
Tell me what you think.
