First grow part 2 (the march of the yellow leaves)
Hi all,
OK Here we go...
I transplanted on the 12th (today is the 15th) and after 2 and a half days i am seeing the pictures below. The leaves are a bit yellow. The 1000 watt light is 22" or more above the top leaves and room temp is fairly stable at 78 F.
I began the nutes with the following. (ppm is unknown but I used package directions and actually cut DOWN a bit on amounts) ie... if the full mix called for 1/2 cup and 6 tsp I put just 1/2 cup.
I am using 20 gallons of the reservoir at this time.
So, I added the Botanicare Progrow (called for 1/2 cup + 6 tsp) used 1/2 cup
Then the Botanicare Liquid Karma (called for 1-1/4 cup) I used right at 1-1/4 cup little bit less.
Then I added the Cal-Mag (called for 1/3 cup + 4 tsp) I used 1/3 cup.
Also went to a 18/6 cycle on the lights yesterday and will continue with that as it does seem to work for nature.
Any and all comments are welcome and if you need/want more info i should be able to supply it.
1 more pic on next post.
Thanks all,

Anytime I use the recomended amount of nuits they BURN UP.
I use about 1/4-1/2 strength nuits.
these seedlings look a little young for nuits.
I think florescent lights work better for young plants also
Also get a PH and EC meter, THE BEST INVESTMENT YOU'LL MAKE

First grow part 2 (the march of the yellow leaves)
Thanks Daddy,
Ph is a solid 6.5, unsure on EC and no way to tell.
Plants are about three weeks old at this time.
I used dixie cups (will not do that again but it's what I had to work with this time) and the roots were getting crowded.
Any other advice?
Please?
Thanks,
Buz

yup I have advice and sorry your not gonna like it. START OVER!!!! Between the 1000w light shock and dam near full str nutes that things a goner, once again sorry. Your not to far in so wont hurt as bad. Man you have alot of reading to do. Obviously you can germ a seed and get a seedling and from there is where you need help. Dad is right about the floro's and also the nutes. Stay 1/4 - 1/2 str till 4th set of true leaves appear. Must have a good solid root formation before putting it under the fake sun too. Please dont take what I say the wrong way I'm just extremely straight forward. Check out the sticky's in Basic Growing, most importantly Growin the Dankness by Stinkyattic

...but not sure I'd throw in the towel on it just yet.
Try flushing with Ph 6.0 water for a wee bit, and back the light off (or the plant) until it's more than 36-48" from the little darlin'... or put it back under something more gentle for a while, like a nice 200w equiv CFL...
If you're running a 1000w MH or HPS, you shouldn't let the thing get closer than 24" to a mature plant...
But, hey, it's a weed, and they can be quite resilient...

If you decide not to scrap it just yet besides the light and nute str you need to get a lil fan on that thing to create a weak breeze to help make that stem stronger or it will just fall over anyways

OK here we go...
I have read the guide but obviously still have much to absorb.
I added water to double the volume and the kids seem happier.
I will raise the light as well.
I am running 2 16" oscillating fans for the breeze and cooling effect.
Should I give them a day or two to see what happens or put them out of their misery now?
Tiny, thanks as always for great advise and no worries here, I'm fairly blunt :rastasmoke: myself.
If/When it is time to call it I'll be building the system described here: http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-gro...time-easy.html
I am going to re-read the Dankness thread as well.
I really appreciate the helpfulness of you guys, some of the other forums are not as tolerant of noobs as y'all.
Thanks again,
Buz

Start more now.
They will either take these place or be the start of a mother room. If those make it it will be a least 3 months to harvest. That's plenty of time to start moms and take clones. Then you will be ready for the next run.
All the MAGIC happens in the mother room and vegging.
Flowering is a doodle.

I don't have any EC meters or PPM meters but still manage to sustain healthy DWC set ups. Try not hitting it with so much so soon. Once you start seeing some growth introduce the nutes. Less is not always better however when it comes to hydro and nutes. You can lose a crop with a miscalculation.
