    March Today!

VETO March on the Governors Mansion
Gather at the Civic Center Park 5-15 @ 11 AM
If we can gather a large assembly of people, 1000 or more we will walk to the Governor's Mansion. If only a few show up, we can just demonstrate along Broadway St. across from the Capitol. This is a Constitutional Right to Assemble for a VETO March!

Please support patient rights, your friends, and your LOCAL economy. Share with everyone you know. If you can come out to Stand Up & March for your Rights!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

    March Today!

Could not go to the veto march since I had to work. My frustration runs deep so I felt the need to email Gov Ritter once again. This is a copy of what I sent to him.

    Dear Gov. Ritter,

I find myself once again writing to you in regards to the recent passing of HB1284. I understand that the general mentality of our legislators is that this bill is imperfect but better than no regulation. I disagree with that premise.

I fear what will happen to the marijuana industry here in Colorado will be devastating and unable to be corrected. . Big business has taken over other agricultural endeavors and this will will allow them to take over marijuana cultivation and then perhaps the cultivation of valuable hemp crops.

Gov. Ritter you have to know what is happening to our food supply because of the loss of the family farm. Profits have taken over and quality and care are now in the back seat. Hormones, inbreeding and abuse of farm animals is common place. Chemicals and pesticides are used on our fruits and vegetables to increase profits without concern for the consumer. Food borne illnesses are rampant. This is all because the mighty dollar is paramount. We are poisoning our own population because profits are more important than people.

Now I see another industry being taken away from the mom and pop model and given to big business. The artisan grower will have great difficulty surviving. Now those people who spent the most time and money, those who always gave their patients the very best they could are being penalized. The people with deep pockets once again win, leaving the patients to deal with reduced quality, higher prices less selection . These people are the ones that take pride in what they produce. They know each plant, use only organic soil and or fertilizers and they take care to eliminate pests, mold, and diseases. When marijuana cultivation becomes a big business, once again profits will most important, leaving the patients behind.

Shame on you Gov. Ritter for signing this bloated piece of legislation. Shame on those legislators that felt something was better than nothing. What would be the harm in taking the time to produce a fair regulations allow the growth of mom and pop dispensaries and grows. Why the hurry to pass something that is not just imperfect but has us continuing down the road to bigger profits and a population that is being poisoned thanks to the rubber stamp of our government.
