Well could be over water, or nute burn. If you can put a pic up it might help. The white stuff could be spider mites, which could kill er, those things are bad, but iv never had them. Is there any webs on the soil?

no webs on the plant at all i dont think its mites because i use this really good organic pesticide, the white stuff is almost like the plant is produceing it but its not crystals and the yellow maybe it is over watering i go a little crazy with the squirt bottle sometimes dude to the southern california heat dont want them to burn

I hear ya with the heat man, but after ya water, pick it up to feel how heavy it is and make sure there is a lot of drainage. Once ya get the feel for your plants after watering, you can feel when they are light, which means ''water me''. This is best IMO to not over water them. As far as the magic dust, im not sure. Ya gotta tree around dropping anything. I might look around the plant to see if its collecting on anything else. Just an idea, pic would help.

white powdery stuff is powdery mold and can be treated with serenade. get it in check or else that stuff is going to feed off your leaves and spread like wild fire.
