mold on soil

so I watered and put my plant in 12/12 for the first time and I wake up this morning only to find the top of my soil covered in white mold, what the fuck. How can i get rid of the mold and prevent this from happening again? should i just scoop the top layer off and keep a fan on it or what?

SM-90....get some and mix in a spray bottle about 1/2 strength and spray the soil and it should just dissappear with a few apps :thumbsup:

you could also just get some serenade and spray the top of your soil. its organic too. and you should consider pruning the bottom branches to get more air in there. i buy those 8inch fans and keep them blowing under my canopy

thanks guys, i ended up scooping the top layer of soil off with a spoon, sucks cus there were some roots in there and I now have a fan blowing on the top of the soil. I will take a trip to the hydro store and see if they have either of the products you mentioned.
