I heard that the senate rejected the special committee, and that the house would likely pass it with the senate changes.

then I heard it passed and was on the way to Ritter, but I can't confirm that yet.

I think that making this info public would actually create the situation they say they are wanting to avoid. You can assure that thieves will be carrying that list around looking for good targets. Scary stuff!

I really do hope the judges do not have a blatant disrepsect for our constitutional rights as these pathetic politicians have shown countless times. Thank god that the people of this state voted in Amendment 20, I can't wait for these same people to vote out EVERY politician that has supported hb1284. Patients, caregivers and dispensaries are keeping track of the politicians that are screwing us. Come elections there will be plenty of mmj articles pointing out who NOT to vote for. I personally can not wait to get my vote counted. Once this passes and the people fully realize how bad the politicans have screwed us, it will only be a matter of time before we have sensible politicans making sensible mmj laws.

I think the numbers are growing so fast that we will be a big enough force to vote them out of office and get people in there that are actually compassionate about mmj. I've called almost all of the senators and left messages saying I'm going to vote them out of office and I'll tell everyone I know to do the same if they don't change their vote on hb1284

This morning Rep. Massey moved that the House concurred with Senate
amendments to HB1284. I made a substitute motion to send it to conference
committee to consider some of the Senate amendments. That motion passed
by just one vote. I have just learned that the Senate will not agree to a
conference committee, so evidently a member of the House is going to move
to reconsider the decision to send it to conference.

I do not believe the votes are there to kill the bill. There are too many
members of the House whose constituents are concerned about dispensaries
popping up where they don't want them.

I am still a no vote, but I don't think I will be able to change many
minds on the matter.

I do not believe the votes are there to kill the bill. There are too many
members of the House whose constituents are concerned about dispensaries
popping up where they don't want them.

Well I hate to be that guy that starts his posts with, "I've been saying this since day one." But oh well...

I remember back in November saying that the appearance of dispensaries on every corner in Denver is going to FASTTRACK them to some harsh legislation we don't want!!
It's hard to contain the entrepreneurial spirit obviously, but I wish all of our second-rate dispensaries would've maybe never opened up and just done under-the-radar grows...

This really is the reason that the legislation will not fail. Shit, I'm 100% for pot, but I'm a little disgusted at all the dispensaries I see when I drive down certain areas. I mean there's fuckin' neon pot signs everywhere. I totally understand the average citizens concern that this is a runaway freight train. Not many people want to see their neighborhood turn into a coffeeshop district!!

Just playing devil's advocate here, but I think that our explosion caused this backlash. Too bad we couldn't have done some regulating on the front end... maybe making dispensaries a little harder to open up... rather than legislating on the back-end and making them impossible to run... therefore closing most of them down...

But that IS the intent really. They want less dispensaries... so they are getting there way... they are just taking a big shit on a bunch of entrepreneurs as they do it. Bankrupting many and robbing them of their lifesavings. Way to go!!

don't forget the feds that would now have access to all grows and small personal grows/users.i guess it's good im a nite owl,anything that moves around my place i know about. i'll treat ALL as thiefs,as i deem fit.

since i did'nt make it on the meeting day tho i wanted to be there.i guess all i can do atm is give ideas for us/you to work with that will do something.

i for 1 think that the shops/caregivers need to pool some money for a tv ad letting the people running for office in nov that we have their number and for the ones on the outside that want to make office they need to back the people and write bills that will be pro the people not pro the leo/gov/big biz.

let them know we will stand behind and back the person that backs us.i think these people that are running are somewhat the same as the rest in office because they think they can do the status quo and no biggie.i think we need to let it be known that we are awake and are watching,no more rail roading us anymore.you either are for us or your not bottom line.we need to draw a line and tell them to pick a side.no more standing on the fence.
