Lost all my sprouts...boohoo
Apparently I had some fairly temperamental seeds as I ended up loosing all stinking 10 of them. Not cheap. I need a better method of germination then what I have been doing I guess. I don't think I treated them with much respect this time around, but still, how do some of you other guys do germination? I had two wet towels but then I took the top one off when they opened up. I then took them outside and accidentally fell asleep :P Still, I don't have a good system for germination. All I need to do is get them to 2 inches long and then I have a clone machine that does nicely from there. Go figure. Light, no light, dome, no dome?

all that i pretty much do is put the seeds between a couple wet towels, place that between two plates (for darkness) and put them above my refrigerator (for heat). then wait til they pop out and drop em into some soil. they wont need light until they actually form leaves so you can just keep them in darkness or normal light inside. in a few days, they should be coming out of that soil ready for growth. thats how i do it and its worked pretty well. good luck man.

have you ever thought about putting sprouts in soil to start and then pull them and switch to hydro? The only reason I even mention it is because I planted a bunch of tomatoes earlier in the month. I shotgun planted them and ended up with a bunch of sprouts I didn't need or want so I just pulled them up. They came up so easily that I replanted them in sections of soil. I was amazed at how easy that was and wondered if it would work for my other growing hobbies as well. Think I could start them in soil, then after they sprout a few inches, gently pull them from the soil, rinse them with water and right into the hydro. Thoughts?

I did exactly that with this grow. Been in one week. Mine were in soil, then I rpulled and rinsed under the tap, then dropped into Hydro flood & drain. Took 2 days to get over shock, but are otherwise loving their new home............
