lookup WebcamXP on google it is free for 1 camera but can handle 6... I have it on a laptop with a web cam looking at my front yard so I know if I am getting raided... I have it live on my network so the laptop IP is the URL but you can upload to any server on the net...

About the other stuff I guess you could focus it on a large dial thermometer...
