I have been reading all kinds of posts on this site. Lots of info overload my brain. I am kidding, it just that it seems that way sometimes. Been reading for the last 3 hours on these above topics. I need some advice.

I have a four x four tray with about 12 starts that have about 4 to seven leaves each. Half are a 60-30 sativia strain the other half 70-30 indica. Enough for me and the missus and supposedly legal. Using a 1000 watt metal hiliade about 2 feet above them. I just put them in. They are in 4 inch pots which I will transplant into 2 gallon buckets down the road.

When I switch to bloom, much later, the light (switch out to a 1000 HPS) will be about 5 or 6 feet above the floor.

When LST ing I will eventually top the plant as it comes around the pot to the point of beginning, near as I can tell from my reading.

FIN ing will create more than two branches at the point of FIN, maybe 4 to 8.

The question is "Is it stupid to combine the FIN and LST procedures?" Maybe I do only one or the other. Don't really know cause I am new to this and I really couldn't find that info in my reading, but it is probably there somewhere.

thanks in advance.
