but what you are talking about is having one of your buddies running around posting jokes and general chit chat...not a good mod. the person needs to be serious about this...mods have access to sensitive info and i for one am very picky about who has such access to my info (and any member for that matter) which is why i have stopped posting at a couple sites over the years...can't trust the mod!

the choice is made by 1st getting a list of volunteers. then we go into the person's past posts to get a handle on their frame of mind, knowledge and communication and how they play with other members. popularity is not a part of the process...if that were the case i'd flood the place with my buds!

i see a couple that i think would be good at it but one might consider losing that 666 tag if he wishes to be taken seriously (or is he really into devil worship?). all else looked very good. chronic also has an excellent past here. those are the only 2 i have seen volunteer so far. but keep in mind whoever has mod access can see much more than regs and do you want that particular person having access to that knowledge?
