Happy Mother's Day Thoughts
With mother's day coming up, I have seen a few posts that list what a mother does. You know them lists that add up all the worth, and say a mother's contribution to the family is worth $100 bazillion a year. :beatdeadhorse:
After reading a few of them, and realizing I have never seen a list of what dad's job is, and its value, I decided to give it a shot.
This add isn't meant to take away from, or diminish the fine job that mothers do. It's just something I was thinking about.
He is a parent, hunter, warrior, body guard, judge, cook, housekeeper, teacher, nurse, handy man, maid, security, coordinator, supervisor, manager, caretaker, personal assistant, bookkeeper, laundry maid, motivational speaker, auto mechanic, grounds keeper, guinea pig (when trying out kids first effort at cooking), mentor, Santa, scholar, problem solver.
*Gives his pay check wife and kids. *Any holiday pay or sick pay he gets goes to wife and kids. When he has days off, they aren't really days off because of a load of chores that need doing. He is on call 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Would, with out hesitation, give his life to preserve the life of wife and/or kids. If there is anything dangerous that needs doing, he does it.
*Any time bills are paid, that is money going out to wife and kids.

Happy Mother's Day Thoughts
This is just me personally, but Mother's Day is kind of a strange tradition. I love my mother very much and she does a lot for me, but I always give her love back. I don't know what I'm trying to say, perhaps I just think that narrowing your thanks down into one day is a little weak.
Love always. You should give gifts when they come about, not during a comercially viable time of the year. You know what I mean? Like if you're out for a stroll down through the market in like June, and you see something that Mom would love or could use, you gift it then. Waiting until a random day in May or during the time when Jesus may or may not have been born just seems a little off to me.
Just saying.

Happy Mother's Day Thoughts
Here's my beef with Mother's Day. It falls during the school year, so mommies get adorable macaroni, construction paper, and gold paint art work made by their own sweet kids. Father's Day falls during summer break, so dads get ties.
