I think you are making a smart decision joining the military. Giving up marijuana for 6 years will be worth it. Don't take any chances while you are in. It's not worth it.

When you think about it, 6 years is not much. It may seem like a long time now. After all, six years is a large portion of your life. Later it will seem like the time zoomed by, and you will have all them benefits.

For me the best benefit is the VA hospital. I never have to worry about health insurance for myself again. I could be poor as dirt (and I am), and I would still get fixed up for any health matter. With the cost of a health insurance policy now days, that counts for a hell of a lot.

Don't worry about it, not being able to smoke reefer for a while. Marijuana is not the "be all, end all". I laid off for it for over 25 years because I was working on aircraft. Now all them years have passed and I am once again able to get high. This will happen to you too. One day you will be doing something and BAM, it will hit you. Where the hell did all them years go?

Then you will kick back, being a mature man with experience of the world, and light up that bowl. While drawing in that sweet smoke, you will think about the years past and smile with satisfaction of a job well done. :thumbsup:

Hello, I am wondering if I made the right decision I used to smoked bud all the time maybe a blunt a day, or some bowls, started a few months ago doing that. Quit 3 weeks ago. I wanted to be something in life and also not to have to play alot of money for college, so I joined the Military, army reserve. I did everything sworn in for 6 years.
