Do they only drug test you when you come down to drill? That one weekend a month? or can they call you saying you need to take a drug test lol.

You are not going to get a call to come in and pee test while you are not on military time ever. I've never even heard of that happening.
Some units will let you pull your 12 drill days consecutively with your 2 weeks. That's something you may want to look into.

I think you are making a smart decision joining the military. Giving up marijuana for 6 years will be worth it. Don't take any chances while you are in. It's not worth it.
When you think about it, 6 years is not much. It may seem like a long time now. After all, six years is a large portion of your life. Later it will seem like the time zoomed by, and you will have all them benefits.
For me the best benefit is the VA hospital. I never have to worry about health insurance for myself again. I could be poor as dirt (and I am), and I would still get fixed up for any health matter. With the cost of a health insurance policy now days, that counts for a hell of a lot.
Don't worry about it, not being able to smoke reefer for a while. Marijuana is not the "be all, end all". I laid off for it for over 25 years because I was working on aircraft. Now all them years have passed and I am once again able to get high. This will happen to you too. One day you will be doing something and BAM, it will hit you. Where the hell did all them years go?
Then you will kick back, being a mature man with experience of the world, and light up that bowl. While drawing in that sweet smoke, you will think about the years past and smile with satisfaction of a job well done.

I would rather be something then sit at my house getting high all day every day. 6 years seems long, but it will fly bye, well I hope :| thank you for the help man made me feel better about my decision, Iā??ve been thinking i threw my weed life away, but i threw it away to get money and live my life to the fullest.

There is always a way to do things in the military. Trouble is finding out how. Don't listen to "barracks lawyers" who don't really know what they're talking about. Next drill, ask to visit personnel and ask your question there. If you were AF Reserve, I could tell you exactly what office to seek at personnel. Army has different terminology, but whatever the personnel function is called is where the folks who can help you out are.
Word of advice. When asking how to shorten your enlistment, be careful how you act and mind your military bearing, because news always seems to have a way of finding it's way back to your First Sergeant.
