Did i make the right Choice?

Hello, I am wondering if I made the right decision I used to smoked bud all the time maybe a blunt a day, or some bowls, started a few months ago doing that. Quit 3 weeks ago. I wanted to be something in life and also not to have to play alot of money for college, so I joined the Military, army reserve. I did everything sworn in for 6 years. I did 6 so i can get some money for college. So that means I will not be able to smoke weed for 6 years. it was my hardest decision ive ever made, man i love getting high with my friends having big sessions, playing Xbox, PS3 while your high all that, going to miss the munchies lol. Let me ask do you think it is the best decision. My friend told me I should have waited I took my last 3 hits last night and i was higher then I ever was lol, off of some purple. It felt like it was something new to me because I havenā??t smoked in a month. So do you think it was the best decision, the next time I will get to smoke is when Iā??m 26 and I wont have to worry about getting drug tested. I am going to miss weed

I do not think people on a forum can answer if joining the army was the best choice. That is way to personal. I give you some props. You are going to have Adrenalin overload witch feels better than any drug (In my opinion). Most of my military friends still smoke.
    Good Luck.
I am sure it will be real fun. I daydream about joining the military.

What makes you think going into the ARMY will prevent you from smoking??? The ARMY is where we got the term "shotgun"...

You will end up smoking. Maybe not at first but like I said, most of my friends in the army smoke.

I think so. You learn to work your way around it. Just wait till you make some army friends.

military drug tests go by your SS number,at least that was the deal when I was in there(Active Duty),and I know some folks who were in the Army and recently got out that had no issues with smoking. Hell your gonna be a reservist its not like you'll be doin much

I was active AF Reserve for the last 7 years of my career and every drill weekend there was random urinalysis. How they pick who will test is by drawing a number out of a hat. That number is the place in the SSN. Another number is drawn and that is the number from the SSN. So if they picked a 7 first and a 1 second, everyone with a 1 in the 7th place in their SSN had to test. I went through my career without testing once on Active Duty, but I sure didn't count on it. I gave it up for 20 years to finish my career without the fear of losing it all at any time.

I've known a lot of folks who play the gambling game that they won't have to test. Some win, most lose. Most urinalysis testing uses trusted agents that have to watch you pee. So you can forget urine kits. Also you don't get a heads up, you just get tabbed and taken over to the hospital for testing. I suppose if you have very little body fat and flush before each drill, you might be ok. I wouldn't chance it, but that's just me.
