How can we assume they are goners? No one has seen a picture of them, and the only guy looking at them is brand new.

I would flush with plain water as well, usually 2-3x the volume of your container. So if you have them in 2 gallon containers flush with 5 or 6 gals of plain water. Then the waiting game begins. You will have to give them a little time to recover from whatever nutrient damage has been done, and a few days to recover from the heavy flush. Make sure not to water again until the medium is dry. If you keep watering normally after your flush you can starve the roots of oxygen and compound your problems.

Keep an eye on any emerging new growth. Chances are anything that's fried won't come back, but new growth should go back to green and lush if it works out.
